Boat Export Process
Step 1 – Request Shipping Quote / Boat Details
Select a boat that you like from 50,000 + in our stock. The entire American used boats process takes only one click on either “Ask Question-Make an Offer” or ” Fast Free Shipping Quote” button inside any listing and small form to fill out. Once we received your buy American boats request, we will assign it to one of our sales team member and we will reply with additional information requested within 24-48 hours or sooner in most buy boat cases.
Step 2 – Order Full Survey / Boat Report online
Click on the button “Buy Boat Report” or “Buy Full Survey” inside any single boat sale online USA listing chosen and fill out a little form, pay for a Full Survey according to boat length schedule ($20-$25 per foot) and it will be delivered to your e-mail within 3-5 business days. After you have been satisfied with Boat Export USA information provided and found out a boat shipping quote fits your total budget, continue to step 3.
Step 3 – Make an Offer
Once Boat Report or Full Survey comes back satisfactory, you can make your offer to buy boats online. At this point to make the offer we need ONLY the following from the buyer:
1. Buyer’s legal name
2. Country of citizenship
3. Amount of offer in USD
If there is a counter offer we continue to negotiate until your offer is accepted. After that we will send you an official invoice with wire transfer instructions to pay for a boat with shipping.
Step 4 – Closing
At this point you will be contacted by our closing department. They will order abstract of title (lien search), prepare Export Documents, Original Bills of Sale and Original Title. All International boat sales to Australia and boat sales USA to Australia are subject to trailer import applications prior to boat trader Australia shipping.
Step 5 – International Shipping
Once USA boats delivered to our loading facility, we begin a preparation for international shipping. Most American used boats with dimensions up to 36′ length and up to 8’6” beam (in some cases up to 8’9” beam) we ship inside standard 40′ High Cube containers. We drain all liquids (gas, oil, water), remove tops, archs, radars, windshield (when needed), disconnect wires and batteries then a boat is being loaded inside the 20’, 40’ HC or 45’ HC container straight or at the certain angle on the custom made steel cradle.
Boats For Sale USA and most boats with beam sizes over 8’6” (102″ or 2.59 meters) we ship Roll-on Roll-off, Lift-on Lift-off or 40′ and 45′ flat racks. Boat keys are always stay in the ignition. We will Express Mail you all the original documents, you will need them for the customs clearance at destination port including:
a. Bill of Lading (BL)
b. Certificate of Origin
c. Certificate of Ownership (Title) or Certificate of Documentation (from US Coast Guard)
d. Commercial Invoice or Bill of Sale
